I have recently started to use Brewfather and have run into a problem.

In the past I have always either used CRS or AMS (same mix) to adjust pH but although Brewfather will let me add CRS as an ingredient it won't let me use it to adjust the pH.

The choices of acids offered are Lactic and Phosphoric, one tastes foul and the other precipitates Calcium from the mash liquor.

I have been using Phosphoric acid so far but I'm concerned that the precipitated Calcium may be unavailable to the mash enzymes or in some other way impact the mash.

1, Do I have good reason to be concerned?
2, Are Brewfarther going to add CRS to the available acids?

Thanks All. aamcle

Probably not. At normal mash pH ranges, most source water doesn't have enough calcium for phosphoric acid to cause any calcium precipitation.

2, Are Brewfarther going to add CRS to the available acids?

I dunno. But I think Brewfather has a Discord community. Maybe the developer(s) participate there?
