How does "Vetus Basilica Brewing" strike y'all? (latin for Old Cathedral, btw)

We currently reside in a what was previously used as home for older nuns (not retired) who worked in the church next door. Its pretty much a castle (and quite fortified in case anyone near philly needs sanctuary from the impending zombpocalypse :p)

Wait, wasn't there something in there about getting the taste of "grass" and "lady of the nights' saliva" out of his mouth in there?

Broken Face Brewery- Actually it was nine stitches to the cranium, and three plates in the face. Boils down to I was helping a friend move, a group of pre-teens stole the next door neighbors two year old kids ball (favorite and he was bawling), we get it back. Then, as we are watching them to make sure they weren't messing with the other neighbors stuff, caddy cornered to us, one throws a cement edger from the near corner (causing the gash and THE BLOOD worth 9 stitches in the ER), followed by the 'slightly overweight' one rushing and clocking me in the cheek. Walked back to the house as they ran off, friends wife and our friends freaking on the phone with 911, decide to make me lay down. I think the ambulance woke my up, but friend was slapping me in the face too.... After spending all night to the wee hours of the morning in the ER (ambulance ride was interesting, had the EMTs cracking up), told my dad what happened the next day. Grandparents lived about block away for 50 years, and he grew up there- "You did the right thing. Sorry this had to happen to you. MAN that neighborhood has really gone to $hit".

Moral of the story (story of my live), nice guys finish last. Cheek hurts even more then usual after 2+ years with the weather changing (and yes Social Distortion and Green Day reference there). Man that's a long post!

I'm torn between the "Barking Spider Brewery" & the "Angry Pirate Brewery;" and I haven't even started brewing yet, lol.

My Friends and I have Apocalypse Brewery.

We have long joked and had conversations that went drunkenly late into the evening about the need to fortify my 35 acres for the impending Apocalypse. We tend to want to believe it'll be a Zombie Apocalypse but to each his own. The conversation would be all about trying to preserve our lifestyles and enjoyments while living err.. sustaining together on my 35 acres.
Separately, my wife and I have long talked about our desires to become more self sufficient and try to live, as they say, "off the grid". We are planning to include solar energy and geothermal heating and cooling when building our house next fall. We also plan to have some goats and chickens by next spring and are looking forward to (as a hobby) supplying (supplementing)ourselves with our own dairy, eggs and meat.
Okay, well you take the conversations about the Apocalypse, add the idea of being self sustaining, our joy of beer (and making it) and throw out the talks of zombies (except for at Halloween) and you come up with our idea for a microbrewery. Apocalypse Brewery. Our idea is to make full bodied organic ales that contain only ingredients that are grow-able or indigenous to Northern Illinois. With the idea that in the Apocalypse you're going to need beer and you'll only have the resources of what's around you. We plan to push the environmentally friendly aspect of our beer making and it being organic while using the whole "reason" or gimmick for doing so to kind of knock-off or separate ourselves from the overall yuppie, snobbish view that most people have about "organic" things. We think that targeting the survival/Apocalyptic aspect of our idea kind of helps to butch-up the idea of organic foods and beverages.

Rumshpringa Brewing Co.
Lancaster, PA

For those unaware, Rumshpringa is the Amish right of passage where boys are allowed to start drinking, smoking, driving, and basically just exploring the outside world without fear of being shunned. Being from Lancaster, we hear about all kinds of crazy sh*t that these kids do (From moshing at concerts, to driving like mad-men in their buggies while hopped up on cocaine). I've always loved the whole idea, and it just seemed to fit perfectly with the idea of homemade beer from Lancaster, PA.

As for the logo, I've always dug the hex signs the Amish put up too, so I worked in some bottles and hops.

Natron, I like the website you linked to in your signature, but I have one remark: Can the script that auto-resizes the window be done away with? I REALLY hate it when web pages insist they know what is best for my screen.

Other than that, I really like that website! I wish we had one like that for Nebraska!

Chimera Brewing - named after the horse my wife rode as a child. We still have the wooden name plate that hung above the horse's stall. So as a tribute to fact that my wife allows me to brew in the house without complaining: Chimera Brewing.:)

Thanks Chriso. That's my website and I'm the bastard that put the window sizing script in there. I appreciate your feedback though, and I'll let you know when we're ready to go national!

I especially like the coded little indicator graphics (beers vs wines, dive sign, wings, etc), they are really well done! Kudos on an excellent site, it's well-done!

Thank you again! Now if I could just get some real advertisers on there I'd be set! Most of those are friends' businesses or places that I just enjoy supporting.

I had originally wanted to use "Drunken Monkey Brewing Company", but (a) I couldn't come up with a good graphic, (b) there is a "Drunken Monkey" bar out there somewhere, and (c) there's a "Drunken Monkey" World of Warcraft guild.

So, I was looking thru my collection of funny photos I've found on the web, and I noticed I had an image that was a chimp face photoshopped onto the iconic Che Guevara image with the caption "Viva La Evolucion" (clever, no?). I'm fairly liberal, so much so that my coworkers at a former job liked to poke fun and call me a socialist (I'm not). Everything mashed together in my brain, and this bit of brilliance spilled out...

Red Monkey Brewing Company.

Current taglines are "Viva La Brewvolucion!" and "Porter for the People!" I'm sure I can have a lot of fun biting Marxist propaganda when coming up with beer names and labels.

I have so many passions it is hard to pick a name, but one thing close to my heart is the right to bear arms.

What do you all think of 2nd Amendment Brewery? I think I'd make my logo with a musket in it as I do like my muzzleloaders.

Anyone good with logo making?

Poor Boy Brewing.

Started Poor Boy Industries years ago, when i was a much lower rank, with the same expensive hobbies (my jeep, scuba, photography, drinking tasty delicious beers), and was designing t-shirts and posters and crap for local bands for a little scratch.

grabbed myself a beer for breakfast this summer and said "**** it, i can do it better". show season started closing out, and Poor Boy Brewing was born.

Awesomesauce Brewery. It's something we all say normally to describe something, well, awesome. Plus it works on another level because of the sauce part. Good times. Our first beer is called Di Di Brau.

When I have some extra $ (damn holidays), I'll become a supporter so I can post the logo (it's like a square from the periodic table of elements).

I still need to play around with the logo a little bit, but that will come with time. For now it'll be a lot of "The Trouble Brewing Company Present" because I'll be doing only kit beers. :D

Et voila!

Edit: Hah, just realised that should be "presents"... Heh.

I was toying around with the label generator link that someone posted. I saved a couple that I had made. My wife thought it was funny.

Might keep the brewery name. My name is Doug btw.

PipeDreams Brewery.

A reference from the movie The Shawshank Redemption. A quote from Red.

Andy: Not me. I didnt shoot my wife and I didnt shoot her lover. Whatever mistakes I’ve made I’ve paid for them and then some. That hotel, that boat, I dont think its too much to ask.
Red: I dont think you outta be doing this to yourself Andy. Talking ****ty pipe dreams. I mean Mexico is way way the hell down there and you’re in here.
Andy: Its down there and I’m in here. It comes down to a simple choice really. Get busy living or get busy dying.

I think I'm finally positive on this one. Sane Man it is.

I even got the logo done.
WELL F*****.

Zazzle took my products down (almost instantly!) for copyright violation. Dammit dammit dammit.

Back to the drawing board.

At least I have my two limited-edition T-Shirts with the old (current) logo.

KHAAAAAAAAN!!!~

Cold Hands Brewery

I'm a strong proponent of the 2nd amendment and our obligation to protect our rights and freedoms. Thus "I’ll give you my gun when you take it from my cold, dead hands."

I'm planning to base my labels around founding fathers images and ideals. Still working on a label. Thanks to all those who helped come up with the name!

Edited: Cold Hands now, as it still relates to above, seems to flow better

I've been thinking about this on and off for a few decades and since nobody has (yet) stolen my idea (that I have been able to research with available means) I think I am decided...

Still not decided on color/font/logo tho :)

When I first started brewing, I was really into bad movies(in fact, I still am) so I called my brewery "Bad Show Brewing" and all of my beers used the names of some bad movies.

However, my passion for hunting kind of took over and I finally changed over to "Hounds' Den Brewery". Now all of my beers have something to do with hunting, or hunting dogs. I'm still working on a logo.

Mad Hatter Brewing.
Friends and family have said numerous times that my singular conversations and random comments remind them of the hatter in wonderland. I've pretty much used the tag online for the last several years. It's not original, but it fits.

Cheers !!

Just came up with my brewery name

AQUAE SULIS BREWING COMPANY
or
AQUA SULIS BREWING COMPANY

Due to being born and raised in Bath, England.
Which was originally called that back around 43AD during roman occupation of England
Which also translated from Latin, as Water from Sulis or Water from The Gods.

The Smuggler's Brews....

The Smuggler name comes from another nickname (Beer Smuggler) that came about after getting caught smuggling a Budweiser into a Cracker Barrel in Sweetwater TN....and "these" are my "Brews".
