I was at my KHBS today, and thought about getting the Brewers Best American Cream Ale kit. My reservation was that it comes with dry yeast, and all I have used in the past was Wyeast. The LHBS that I was at today didn't have Wyeast, so I was thinking of getting the White Labs California Ale yeast to use in this kit. I would just like to know what some people with more experience think of this idea. Also, will this be able to ferment at 66 degrees?
Thanks for all the help here.:mug:

What's wrong with dry yeast? I would think that US-05 dry yeast (rehydrated, of course) would work just fine for that style.

Personally, I'd be inclined to run it around 60* for the first week, slowly bring it up to 65* and then finish it the last few days at about 70*.
