Brew Boss Issues

I finally fixed my connection issues with the Brew Boss Controller and brewed my first beer with this system. I encountered several problems that I wondered if any of y’all had experienced. I have the Brew Boss app version 2.08 sideloaded on an Amazon Fire tablet. My controller is version 3.0. I have attached a photo. The following are the issues I had:

1. Once the system hit the mash temp it continued to rise and was over 170 degrees. (It was set for 158, see attached photo)

1. The sliding scale for the heater power percentage moved up and down but did not change the actual percentage of power going to the element.

1. Neither the heater nor the pump on/off button worked. (I understand that plugging the pump into the tablet socket did not help, but the heater button should have worked)

1. At one point during the process, I think after Mash in, when I tried to go to the next step all I got was a series of three beeps and the program wouldn't go any further.

Do I need to run the 2.10 version of the App or have I set up something wrong?
