Brass and Lead in Faucet

I bought two faucets--the cheap chrome ones from keg connection. There is a lead warning on the package. The brass that appears exposed to the beer appears the size of a pencil eraser. Nanny state?

I'm guessing California requires it. In California anything and everything will kill you.
