Bourbon maple syrup barrels.
5 gallon barrels, liquid syrup still inside each barrel
Barrels are tight, sealed, and shrink wrapped.
First use - small batch bourbon
Second use - organic maple syrup
5 gallon format $90 each
I have personally used them for cider, beer (hefeweizen) and whiskey. It is a much different result than simply adding maple syrup while barrel fermenting. Several local brewers have used them for stout and porter beers with great success.
I haven't tried mead but I bet it would be really good.
I get a bunch every once in a while and can never use them all. Just trying to spread the wealth.
