I want to bottle a few Foreign Extra Stout using a counter pressure filler. I'm worried that for this style of beer, doing so might ruin the head. Should I simply bottle condition this style or do you think counter pressure filling this beer will be successful?

Thanks!

The nature of a counter pressure filler usually mitigates the escape of CO2 from the beer. The whole idea is that you're transferring (very slowly) under pressurized conditions, purged of O2. It should act not much different than transferring from keg to keg.

So, provided the CPF is used correctly, I would think that there should be plenty of CO2 left in suspension to keep the beer properly carbed.
