It is possible but then what will you use when you go to bottle? If you only have one primary and a bottling bucket, just leave your beer in the primary for a few weeks, then bottle.
 
Plus with the spigot on the bottling bucket, that just gives you that much more of a chance of contamination. Primary buckets are cheap ($13), go buy another and leave the bottling bucket free.
