Bottling bucket with carb drops

I understand that a bottling bucket is advised when using a priming sugar solution. Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems the main reason (or at least one of the reasons) for this is to ensure the solution mixes evenly throughout the beer. Am I right in thinking it also helps the promote clarity?

I’ve then seen it said that a bottling bucket isn’t necessary with carbonation drops since each bottle will “automatically” have the same about of priming sugar so you can bottle straight from the FV. If so, I plan to do this with an auto-siphon with attached bottling wand.

My question is: are there any benefits of using a bottling bucket even when using carb drops? Don’t get me wrong I’m more than willing to rack into a bottling bucket if it is better - just wondering if it becomes unnecessary when using carb drops, especially since bottling straight away might also be better in avoiding oxidisation.

NB I realise that carb drops themselves aren’t optimal in controlling carbonation but I thought I’d at least try them before moving to a priming solution approach. Again feel free to shoot me down if they really are to be avoided.

You will be fine to bottle from the fermenter with the carbonation drops.
