Newbie here and apologies in advance for a first post asking for information.

I'm looking at picking up a piece of equipment that, among other things, has the ability to print full color directly on to bottles. I was wondering if home brewers would be interested in having your custom labels printed directly on bottles. I understand pricing would be a huge determining factor but I think pricing would come out around $2 per 12oz bottle with NO min order.

Is there enough benefit to paying $2 a bottle for labeling or do I need to try and get the cost down?

IMHO, no benefit. Especially since after that batch is consumed, you'll want to re-purpose the bottles for another batch of (most likely) a different style/label. I make a label template on beerlabelizer.com, save it to my Picasa file, upload it to a zip drive, take it to Office Depot and have color laser print (non-smearing when wet) labels made for approx. 12 cents each. I cut out the 4-labels-per page with a paper cutter and stick them on with milk. Yup, milk. They stick like crazy when dry, but they can't be gotten wet. They slide right off in warm water when you want to re-use the bottle and do a new label.
