Boiling with the lid on

Other then not hitting your OG because of less boil off does anyone know of any other issues with boiling with the lid on the brew pot?
 
Bubbles hold their shape a bit longer in the slightly more pressurized environment with the lid on... which means boilovers can happen in a flash.
 
DMS shouldn't be as much of an issue with extract brews, but it's absolutely a concern when you get into all-grain. Boilovers are the biggie; I used to boil with the lid half-on, and occassionally it'd flare up (VERY quickly) if too much of the pot got covered. You don't want to be cleaning up a boilover.
