Hello all. I'll be making a mango IPA in the next week or so. I was thinking of using some flavored water to add a little more citrus flavor to the beer. As far as the mango, I was going to add some mango extract to the bottling bucket, then the priming solution, then rack on top of that. I was thinking of of using glaceau vitamin tropical citrus as the boiling water. I was just wondering if anyone had tried this before.

I’d boil some, cool it, then taste it to see if it still has the flavor you want.

There are electrolytes added, might mess with h2o chemistry, if you are concerned. Possibly preservatives too, just check the labels carefully.

That's right, I didn't think about that. Thanks. Another question I wanted to ask. Is there any real difference between cold steeping, & hot steeping? Flavor / color wise.
