I could not get my wort temp above 210* today. its was boiling, but not a raging boil. Both thermometers read exactly the same so I know it was accurate. I am not at high altitude either. Is it possible that my burner couln't keep up with the 6.5 qts in my kettle, and if so will I have dms in my beer. Man I hope not. It is a power burner on my stove too, so I am a little surprised. Did I get the temp high enough to prevent any issues?

Even a gentle boil is fine,as long as the water's moving. 2 degrees isn't a lot to worry about. Just proceed as normal for the recipe you're brewing.

If its boiling it's boiling. No amount of heat is going to raise the temp if it's boiling. It will create a strong boil but not increase the temp.

Things that affect the boil temp. Atmospheric pressure (altitude) & sugar and other crap in the water (wort).
