Hello

Has anyone done a PM of the recipe above if so how many gallons did you make and good did it turn out. i want to make this my first Pm/
im going to make a 5 gallon batch of this does anyone have any tips

This would make a perfect PM since it's includes vienna. I've never done a PM of it myself, but the AG version is a great session/lawnmower beer.

This should do it for you:

Batch Size: 5 gallons
Boil Volume: 6.36 gallons
Brewhouse Efficiency: 70%
OG: 1.041
IBU: 21.0
Color: 3.7

3.64 lbs Extra Light Dry Extract
0.91 lbs Pale Malt (2 Row) US
0.45 lbs Crystal Malt - 10L
0.45 lbs Vienna Malt
0.22 oz Centennial Hops (Pellet, 9.5%, 55 min)
0.22 oz Centennial Hops (Pellet, 9.5%, 35 min)
0.22 oz Cascade Hops (Pellet, 7.8%, 20 min)
0.22 oz Cascade Hops (Pellet, 7.8%, 5 min)

CaraPils shouldn't be necessary since it is already in the extract. I've never made the beer myself, though.

EDIT: You would mash at 150*F for 60 minutes just like the all-grain version.

I did a Centennial Blonde PM back in March. Came out great! Here was my recipe...someone else on HBT passed it on to me:

2.5lbs 2-row
0.5lbs Crystal 10L
0.5lbs Vienna
0.5lbs Carapils

Mash at 150F for 60 minutes.

Top up to boil volume if necessary (I usually boil 3-3.5 gallons), then start the boil:

0.25oz Centennial (10% AA) @ 60min
0.25oz Centennial (10% AA) @ 30min
0.25oz Cascade (7% AA) @ 10min
0.25oz Cascade (7% AA) @ 5min

3lbs extra-light DME @ flameout.

Chill, then top up to 5.25 gallons with spring water. Should get you an OG of 1.044 or so with 65% efficiency (I do stovetop PMs).

Ferment @ 64F until it's done. Carbonate it pretty spritzy.

Hope this helps!

Thanks alot folks for the help cant wait to try this out this will be my first PM ill let you no how i get on.

It's a great first PM. Just make sure your grains have a good crush (not too coarse, not too fine).

It was my first PM, I did it as a half-size batch and it was pretty tasty. I didn't use the vienna and my crush wasn't good, so mine turned out a little hoppier than I would have liked, but it was still a really good beer.

I used Notty and fermented at 64F in a water bath with ice bottles.
