ive been wanting to make a blue point esb clone and i found a dead thread on it from 2008 and nobody ever posted if it worked or not and i am really really really wanting to clone this long island beer because i live in missouri now and i cant find it heres recipe from the old post

Blue Point Esb
8.50 lb Pale Ale (Crisp) (4.0 SRM) Grain 85.00 %
1.00 lb Vienna Malt (3.5 SRM) Grain 10.00 %
0.50 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (40.0 SRM) Grain 5.00 %
0.45 oz Magnum [12.00 %] (60 min) Hops 19.3 IBU
0.75 oz Goldings, East Kent [6.50 %] (15 min) Hops 8.7 IBU
0.75 oz Goldings, East Kent [6.50 %] (5 min) Hops 3.5 IBU
1 Pkgs Nottingham (Danstar #-)

Blue Point's website says the OG is 1.056 with 35 IBUs, so I'm looking for a SU:GU ratio around 0.6...

Looks pretty reasonable to me, although I really like Wyeast 1968 in English ales (really malty, no weird mineral character).

thanks old sock. Shall your sour beers always taste better than old socks!
