Recipe:

4 Gallons Mott s Apple Juice
2 Lb Dextrose
3 Cans of Oregon Blueberry in light syrup
1 Montrachet Packet

Made this up today, is happily bubbling away already. Will report back when it is finished.

After seeing your update on the Bing Apfelwein I can't wait to see how this one turns out.

I misread the title of this thread... thought it said "bloodfelwien"

that would have been BRILLIANT!!!

Well, it is done. I can report back that the wine smells great, looks fantastic and tastes like crap. It is not HORRIBLE, but is nowhere near the quality of the bing cherry apfelwein I made earlier.

Since it's only a month old, it's too early to really judge it. I'd rack to a carboy and put it someplace for 6 months and then revisit it and see how it is.

I did a blueberry-apfelwein a couple months ago and it turned out excellent. I simply added 2 quarts of blueberry juice to the 5 gallons of apple juice. I used Nottingham however as I like mine a little sweeter. It was tasty after a few weeks and even better after a month or two.
