Blichmann kettle help

I want to remove this piece to thoroughly clean my 3piece.

I must be doing something wrong because it doesn’t want to come off. Don’t want to keep using elbow grease and break something. Turning it with a wrench on both sides isn’t working.

I never removed my 3 piece valve when I owned a Blichmann G1 so I can't help you there. But here is their support number (765) 421-2018. Have you tried calling them?

It's supposed to come off. Try heating up the stuff by boiling some water in it?

Threaded stainless parts can experience galling. I've read heat and penetrating oil may do the trick.

As another option you could just reassemble and fill with hot pbw then use a small bottle brush..

OP: When you screwed it on to the kettle, did you use teflon tape?

Try giving the entire kettle (inside and out up to the valve) a soak in PBW. There may be sugars gummed up inside and out through the treads. Give penetrating lubes a try after the soak if that doesn't work.

Warm PBW did the trick. And then I just soaked the metal pieces in the solution for 25mins. Thanks all for the suggestions. Definitely going to clean these more regularly.
