Blichmann Beergun on manifold, no tee?

Hey guys,

Considering getting the beer gun. I have a 4 way manifold already off of my 1 tank/regulator. Can I skip getting the t or y fitting and just hook up a co2 line from a spare outlet on the manifold? Seems like I should be able to, just want to make sure before making an order.

You just need a way to get CO2 into the keg and to the beer gun. Sounds like you're set.

Hey all - update on this. I received my manifold, beer gun, and beer gun accessory kit from morebeer today.

My question is - is there a way to replace one of the 5/16'' barb that's on the manifold with a piece that will allow me to screw a 1/4 flare fitting directly in? Or do I need to run a small piece of 5/16 tubing into a flare adapter like this: http://morebeer.com/products/flare-fitting-14-male-516-barb.html?

I'm hoping there's a piece to allow me to do this directly instead of running line to a fitting. Thanks!

Here's my question on the Beergun, I've been looking at it a lot lately.

I've watched the videos on it. Shoot CO2 into bottle, fill bottle, extract wand, cap. But when you extract the want, basically you are creating more headspace, therefore, letting regular air back into the bottle? Correct? Possibly letting oxygen back in when you pull the wand and the beer sucks back to it's final position. Wouldn't it be best to find a way to put a cap of Co2 on the ber at the end, purging that leftover headspace? Or am I missing something?

When you extract the wand, there should be residual foam all the way up the neck of the bottle. That foam will push remaining oxygen out. Cap immediately, before the foam subsides and lets air back in the bottle.
