Okay I ve used this now a few times and Im still struggling with it. It seems to dig a hole in the grain directly below where my stainless inline float sit (mine is stainless I have seen other foam ones, I don't know what is better but mines steel). I tried to extend the hose to make the angle better ( because im only mashing 49 lbs in a 55 gallon tun it it sits very low almost kinking the hose) but then the float couldn't keep the hose floating if i extend it. The obvious solution is to do bigger mashes, but im at the limit for my kettle. has anyone extended the line out with a lighter materiel hose, or has anyone had any luck finding a more robust float?
