I brewed (or at least tried to) a Blonde Pilsner type ale today and what a disaster. I should have stopped at the begining but I continued on with mess. My mash was extremely low in temp, conversion was probably minimal, don't know why the dramatic temp drop, except that it was very windy. I verlofed for what seemed like forever and it was almost impossible to clear the wort. My OG was WAY below my estimated gravity. So now I have to play with adding sugar to the fermentor to get the OG up and at least make an attempt to save the batch.
On a brighter note my Wheat Pumpkin ale (7.8%) is in the keg and it's probably the best batch I ever made...Cheers
