Hello Friends,
Just getting a handle on this extract brewing. I've got a BLACK ROCK, WHISPERING WHEAT up for tomorrow's batch. 23liters yield.
I purchased this can of prepared extract along with a 1kg bag of Dry Malt Extract (Brewferm Wheat, 8 EBC, 55%wheat, 45% barley) and a packet of Safbrew S-33 yeast. These additional ingredients were recommended by another brewer from the website (whom I cannot contact for exact instructions).
The directions call for 1kg of brewer's sugar which i have on hand. I would like to know what the rule of thumb is for substituting the brewing sugar for the DME wheat package.
Also, is there a general effect of changing the yeast from that supplied with the Black Rock package with the Safbrew S-33?
Thanks in advance for the kind help.
