Hey all,
After cleaning up after my first batch of homebrew, I used a carboy brush on my 6-gal better bottle before thinking about it. Apparently, that is a bad idea. I have no noticeable scratches on the thing, but I also don't know if any damage has been done. Any thoughts? Is it now junk?

Scratch that (forgive the bad pun). Upon further inspection, I see some very tiny scratches around the top of the bottle, near the top ring. Is there any way to get around these scratches and not have them ruin my beer?

It's a goner. It can't be saved. Luckily, I live right by a Better Bottle recycling company. If you mail me the BB, I can have it disposed of for you. I'll even send you 10 dollars for shipping. Is it a 5 or 6 gallon BB, so I know what to tell the recyclers.
