Best way to add mulled spices to a draft cider

I'd like to add some spices to one of my kegs of cider. Does anyone have an oppinion on the best method? I'm thinking of either making a strong tea or just putting the spices in a mesh bag and taking them out after a couple weeks.
 
I've always liked the tea method, but I'm too lazy to use it. It's nice though because you can add little by little until you hit the exact level you want.
