Hi everyone. Just starting to get into home brewing. I want to build a kegerator to go under my bar. Having the door open up wont work, so keezers are out.
I know this is asked all the time, but im going crazy finding the answer. I need to know what fridge to buy. Once I have the fridge, it seems converting is easy enough. All the fridges that ppl talk about on this forum are discontinued. I would like the fridge to hold two cornies or a single quarter barrel.

DAR044A4BDD is currently available at Home Depot and Walmart. I think they will hold the two cornies, but will it also hold the 1/4 barrel?

Thanks for the help.

There are a few examples, if you search around a bit, were folks have added interior room to these types of fridges by adding a collar aroiund the door frame. Just like the collar on a keezer, only in front rather then on top. Whether or not the larger unit will fit is up to you.

Edit: I looked on amazon at that fridge. With out a doubt you'll want to remove the shelves from the door, that will give you much more room.

Here is a link to fella that collared a mini-fridge, different goal in mind, but same concept.

Hey there, I dont know if its too late or not, but I just bought a DAR044A4BSLDD and have been converting it into a kegerator. Seems like its going to work for what I need (2 cornies).
Note my model number is not exactly the same as what you posted.. I'm not sure what the "SL" means but maybe close enough? Let me know if you have questions.
