I live in Bethesda right now, formally in Baltimore. Baltimore had the best bottle shop I've ever been to, called the wine source. It wasn't just a good collection of American craft breweries but like everything, all over the world and things you would never expect someone to have. They also had growler fills which was a plus.

Is there a place like this near Bethesda at all? Any where that is fairly within driving distance from north Bethesda. I'll go a little out of my way for good beer, even sometimes back up to Baltimore just to get a special belgian ale.

Thanks for any info!

The Perfect Pour in Columbia is really good, but expensive (same with Gilly's).

Belby's in Rockville sometimes has a few gems.

best value: head south into nothern DC. Rodman's, Magruder's, etc. most Whole Foods in DC have a decent selection.

Try Fenwick Beer & Wine in Silver Spring. It maybe a small store but has a lot of craft beer options. However, there prices are a little high, but still worth a look.

Now that you live in MoCo, you'll quickly learn how the county-controlled distribution screws things up.

I've heard good things about Corridor Liquors (http://www.totalwine.com, 3321 Corridor Marketplace, Laurel, MD) but I've never been there myself. Good luck!
