Getting to the point where the quality of my grains needs to be top-notch. What sites do you guys recommend?

I do brewmasterswarehouse as well. Can't really vouch for the quality of their grain vs other companies, because I just haven't done enough batches.

But are you asking for who has good kits, or whose grain is better? I don't see their being much difference in the grain from one company to another because AFAIK they all get their grains from the same suppliers.

I have done AHS partial mash kits with great success, but for AG i have just taken recipes from this website

I love brew masters warehouse. Their prices and selection are the best and the brew builder kicks ass. I've ordered from all the brew shops mentioned and others and brew masters warehouse packages their products the best. Check out their bulk pricing on hops

Grain comes mailed in a sealed bag! I've had others use twist tires or rolled paper bags.

Edit: that being said, if one is more local, order from them for fresher liquid yeast

Has anyone tried More Beer? They have a lot of inexpensive kits and free shipping after $39 until the end of may. I was thinking to testing them out.

I've had good experiences with morebeer.com. Once they made a mistake with one of my orders (a Pliny the Elder kit) and they shipped a replacement kit to me free of charge.

I also like Brew Master's Warehouse and Northern Brewer a lot.

I have shopped Northern Brewer and Austin Homebrew with success, but mostly Midwest Supplies. All are good.

All of the places mentioned here are big, and big is good for fresh because of the turnover.

Its already been mentioned, but I love Rebel Brewer. Not only are their products and prices top notch, but shipping to me is usually next day even though I order ground delivery. I notice you are in Virginia, so I expect delivery would be pretty fast for you too.

I've ordered from morebeer, AHBS, NB and have had good luck with all of the kits. But its been a while sence i've gotten the kits from them. I've been buying bulk from my LHBS heartshomebrew.com

I'm a fan of Northern Brewer. Most of their kits have either customer reviews or some even have a video (seasonal ones) to explain the flavors you'll get. AND they post the recipes on their site. Big plus if you want to know what you're getting into. Oh, and ice packs are included with every yeast purchase.

Best selection, grain freshness, and quality of recipe is AHS hands down. I brewed a LOT of all grain kits (from a lot of different vendors) before I started buying bulk grains, they can't be beat.

Rebel Brewer is great, but they only sell a few all grain kits from what I can see.

My vote for AHS as well... They have a ton of recipes and you can do Extract, PM, or AG for all of them I believe.... I good way to ease into AG brewing IMO...

i don't know about the quality of the grains, as I can't do AG yet, and partial mash is double kit prices, but my LHBS seems like they have decent prices. Heartshomebrew.com but then, i also don't know the cost of shipping, as I always drive to pick up what i need.

Site is a bit antiquated though, at least, imo.
