Hello all,
Sorry if this has been answered but having a hard time finding the answer to my question...

I live overseas and will be returning to the U.S. for 2 months in the month of July-August, hot months. I was wanting to do a few batches of different style beers to the let them age while we are gone. However, while we are gone, windows will be closed and no A/C, nor fridge running, etc. So my question is, can I make these batches and let them age in a house around a max of 80s to low 90s? Would that be something that spoils beer? I hear higher temps are good for carbonation, does higher temps for months affect negatively the beer?

Thanks in advance for the wisdom.

Most reactions accelerate with temperature, so while the hotter temperatures won't outright "spoil" the beer (used in the technical sense) one should expect aroma and flavor characters to attenuate more rapidly.
So I'm going to say prolonged exposure to 80-90°F temperatures will not be as good for your beer as, say, "cellar" temperatures (~50-60°F).
Got any trustworthy friends or relatives with a deep cellar?

Cheers!
