Bentonite for clearing beer?

Was just wondering if bentonite could be used to clear beer before bottling? I use it on my wines with great success but have never tried or heard it tried with beer?

I believe bentonite requires degassing to be most effective, which doesn't work well with beer because it foams so much.

Isinglass works very well. Biofine Clear, Gelatin and SuperKleer are other options. Note that among these, only Biofine Clear is vegetarian. To confuse things further, there is also "Biofine" (without the Clear), which is the same as isinglass.
