Hey everyone,

I want to bulk order DME to save some $$$ and see that Briess DME is about $120 Vs $166 or so for the M&F DME. My question is - when making Belgians (everything from browns, to dubbels, saisons, golden ales, tripels) will I notice the taste difference between the American DME (cheaper) Vs the imported DME?

Thanks

Cugel

they are made from different grains under a different process and will have a different flavor. Most of the flavor comes from your specialty grains, tho...so i wouldn't worry about it. just use nothing but Light DME.
