So, I wanted to use german malts in my Heffe that I am brewing this weekend... BUT my LHBS has been having a tough time with suppliers coming through on alot of items, not just ingredients. They say some large malt supplier in Germany closed its doors recently? Anyhow, everything is replaced with Belgian grains... Pilsner and Wheat, 1.5-1.8 in color. I am using WLP300... shoudl this be OK...? Now, dont jump down my throat about "style" points, I dont care, I care about flavor... thanks!

I think you'll be fine. Continetal malts are for the most part all very nice. Castle and Dingmans are top notch don't feel bad about using either.IMO

To my knowledge, the Belgian pilsner malt has a softer flavor than the German. Very close to German though, and totally within style but in an interesting way.

For a second I thought that The Pol was back......
