I bottled some of my Brett beer in 750 mL Belgian bottles like these:

and used Belgian corks like these:

using a Champagne corker. I used wire hoods to secure them in place.
So far, the bottles using this method have been really close to flat, and bottles that were capped are nice and effervescent.
Has anyone else had an issue with using Belgian bottles and corks? Is there something I'm missing, or is this just an unreliable method?
Thanks for the help.
