I am planning on brewing a Berliner Weisse very soon. I brewed this recipe last year and it turned out awesome, but I have a question.

I am only going to mash hop this beer and do a 15 minute boil with no hop additions. When I add by hops, Northern Brewer @7.3%AA, 15 min mash hop, Beersmith estimates 2.6 IBUs. When I bump it to 60mins in the mash, it jumps to 5.3 IBUs. Is the accurate?

I ask for this reason, when I brewed it a year ago, I did a 120 minute mash with two hop additions. 1 at the beginning, Saaz @5.8%AA and one half way through, Northern Brewer @7.3%AA. I left the default of 15 minute mash hop when I added them to my recipe in Beersmith, so it estimated 4.3IBUs. Now that I look back at the original recipe and I set the correct mash times for the hop additions, it says 9.1IBUS, which is over for the style. I can't taste any hops in the beer at all, and maybe with that low IBUs, most can't.

Am I just being paranoid, and should go with 1 additional of Norther Brewer for 60 minutes? That should give me 5.3 IBUS give or take.

Thanks
