Beer Gas Regulators

Do the Regulators used for beer gas (25% C02 and 75% nitro) have a female or male fitting on them? The nitro bottles all look to have female treads, and the regs male....is that correct? Thx

Should be a CGA (Compressed Gas Association) 580 fitting.

Depends where you get them. My welding supply gave me a tank that had the cga320 like the co2 tanks (male threads). But if the tank has female threads than its the 580.

I think it's a "near-standard". The majority of the beer gas bottles I've seen have had the female thread on the bottle.
