Beer Gas in Paintball tank?

I'm looking to do a nitrogen setup fairly cheap. Since I don't brew many stouts, I don't need a 5lb tank of Co2. I would like to use a paintball tank for the beergas. Has anyone done this? Would also do a 2.5 gallon tank as well? Would a gas shop fill a paintball tank with beergas?

all the shops here in NYC are swap outs. So the smallest I can get is 2.5# tank. I'm in the same boat.

It's a different thread and different regulator because the tank and regulator need to be rated for a different (and much higher) pressure.

Good luck finding someone who will fill a paintball tank with beergas. It's sometimes hard to find a shop that will fill anything with beergas. It's not a normal blend for most shops, and most gas shops don't deal with small tanks. Be aware that beergas does not go as far as co2 either.
