Beer Challenge: Firestone Union Jack vs Sierra Nevada Torpedo

I'm going with two great IPA's from two very well respected micro breweries.

Who wins this battle and why?

Firestone vs Sierra Nevada...let the games begin.

I have never had either Nerf canada. Gimme a few months to clone them and ill get back to you.

Torpedo. It's the only one I've had.

I tried Torpedo back in February/March and I have to say I loved it.

Both outstanding beers.

Union Jack gets all of the little/intangible things right though. The mouthfeel, the balance, all spot on. I think it is just a bit more sophisticated and nuanced than Torpedo and would pick it for that reason.

Both beers I would be happy to drink on any night though.

I haven't seen the union jack, and while I really like a 12pack of torpedo once and awhile, I get real sick of it real quick if I get anymore than that.

Jack. Both tasty though. The double jack, however, is in a league all its own...

Right now I can get Lagunitas' Hop Stoopid cheaper than either of them, so that wins.
