I want to do all my brewing in my basement cuz I'm sick of the mess I make in my kitchen... what should I use to boil my wort with?

Depends on your basement and your equipment. If you can swing it and can afford the equipment and know about electricity then I suggest going electric and using a good vent hood. I went with indoor low pressure burners from Agri-Supply:
BURNER CAST LOW PRESSURE MULTI-HOLE 6 - Agri Supply and the low pressure regulator. Mostly because propane was the least amount of cost to get to 5 gallons. I built a dedicated brewing room ... but that is not totally necessary.
So depending on your basement and equipment, and you DIY ability or desire, there are many ways.
So maybe some information about your equipment and basement and your process...
