Barrel-Aged Beer. Some questions

Hi all,

I would like to learn about/get into barrel aging and I have no idea where to start. I'd love to find a good book on the subject but I don't know if there's a good one out there. Any ideas?

Also, what are some of the barrel types that are commonly used? I know bourbon are used a lot. What others?

My brew club has done a few different barrel projects. We've done bourbon, port and different types of wine barrels. Any of them can be great as long as you match them up with the right beer.
