I've been getting a yellow flame with my banjo burner. I've tried to adjust it and no luck. It still has the original regulator (1 year old) and I use a 40# tank that works fine on my 4 burner gas grill.

Any ideas? It seems like it is a lot less efficient.

Thanks

Try taking the burner head and the air intake apart and cleaning it/deburing it. I've seen some posts on people getting burners to improve to an almost total blue flame just by cleaning out the inside of the burner/removing manufacturing mistakes with a dremel.

Have you tried a different regulator? Always a chance it's no good.

Cleaned out every little hole and if fires like the shuttle's engines now!
