I'm making my first batch of cider and learning as I go. I'm planning to back sweeten and I've heard that apple juice concentrate works great. I decided to buy one can of apple, and also grabbed a can of cranberry "blend" (which I just noticed also contains mostly apple concentrate).

Does anyone have experience with cranberry concentrate in cider? If so, how does it turn out? Would both cans of concentrate be too much for a 5 gallon batch?

My plan is to pour the concentrate into a bottling bucket and rack over that, and then bottle. I've already added potassium metabisulfite and potassium sorbate. Any issues with this plan?

FYI, my starting gravity was 1.050 and it dropped to 0.994 before I added the potassium metabisulfite.

Give it a try,
I add 20% crab to my blend, and it tastes a lot like cranberry.
Has the same astringency as crabs too.
Crabs are always good!
