2 row is basic 2 row, pick whichever malster you want.

Your question about getting it lower, you need to be specific what temp your mash was at. Why did you move it off the primary after just one week?

@theschick: I moved it after one week b/c the instructions from the kit said one week primary, one week secondary. Should I have kept it in the primary until it reached the FG? How many points does it typically drop between primary and secondary?

It's a pretty heavily debated topic on the forum, so everyone will answer it differently. Personally, I would only move to secondary if I'm going to bulk age it for many months, and after fermentation was basically complete. And I would never move it to bottles until I was 100% sure fermentation was done. Since you cleared your first post, I don't remember what the gravity readings are at now.

What was the starting gravity and the current gravity?
What temps did you mash it at?
What temps has it been fermenting at?

SG was 1.088, FG 1.032.
Fermenting at 72 degrees in a chest freezer.
I'll check my notes to look at my mash temps.
