I found an interesting article about the early times of fermented beverages. The focus is on identifying yeast and bacteria used back in the day but there is quite a bit of other information too.

Its pretty lengthy but if you have the time, I thought it was kind of cool. In a v geeky way.

Ok, I started reading it, but I think I'm going to need complete silence, a big heavy beer, and a few hours of meditation in order to get through it.
