I used EdWort's recipe and figured that apple juice would be about 1.040 i was wondering what the 2lbs of dextrose would make the OG about.....as i forgot to take an OG reading.

When I made my first batch of Apfelwein OG was 1.071 with 2lbs of corn sugar and 5 gallons of tree top which I measured at 1.049. It is still fermenting so I don't know FG, but I presume it will be slightly lower than 1.
