Anyone ever use a USB thermometer in a thermowell?

The idea of having BeerSmith and a digital thermometer with alerts open on a networked computer sounds REALLLLLLY cool to me! You could also chart and save temperature profiles from each brew session. Not bad at all!

Like this, but with a 1/2" NPT connection for a thermowell at one end:

You have my attition, I'm looking at the same type of thing. I was going to go datalogger, but if these are accurate and work, they are MUCH cheaper.

I googled USB thermometer and found several different, but none as nice as yours.

I built my own thermowell - put a thermo sensor in a piece of copper tubing, then filled it with epoxy. I don't monitor it with BeerSmith, but it is monitored via a network (see link below).

Interesting - I have a Fat Tire clone on deck too. :)
