I've been wanting to buy the bigger/faster 1/2" bottling wand to replace the standard 3/8" wand and hopefully speed up bottling sessions.
My question is has anyone used and attached one of these to the bottling bucket spigot?
I'm wondering if there will be a problem getting a tight fit on the spigot with the 1/2" or 7/16" hose. Hopefully some clamps will work well enough.

Anyone have any experience with this?
Anyone ever use the 1/2" bottling wand? Does it make much of a difference?

thanks for any info

If you are using the standard size spigot, it will still take just as long. The spigot will still be a choke point that limits the flow.

yeah, I was concerned about that too.
Really, I guess anyone could just bottle out of a brew kettle or anything with a 1/2" ball valve and barb.
Could also stick a 1/2" wand on a 1/2" siphon with clip holding the racking cane or auto-siphon in place - although that always sounded pretty clumsy or less reliable than a valve or spigot to me.
