Just wondering because after putting their recipe into Beersmith I get an IBU of 42.7 and an SRM of 8.9. This IBU is way outside of the BJCP standard and from the info I can find online, Smithwicks has an IBU of close to 20. Also the recipe only has 2-row, 90L and 60L crystal. I would think that there should be some roast for flavor and color. So should i screw with the recipe or just brew with it as is?
