Any Problem with the ball valve being to close to hole at the bottom of a keggle

Just that, I drilled the hole for my ball valve and realized that it is dangerously close to one of the indentions at the bottom of the keg. Im worried about the heat from from damaging the valve now. My simple fix would be to pack the hole with aluminum foil to deflect the heat.

My valve is probably 2 1/2 inches from the hole in the keg.

Questions, comments, concerns...
 
If its one of the holes on the keg skirt that you are concerned with... I used a bolt and a couple of washers to plug the hole near my valve. You might also look at a heat shield like this one: [ame=http://youtu.be/H06tDEbaqKM]Brewhardware Heatshield Prototypes - YouTube[/ame]
