I've been on search for stainless kegs to convert for my setup. A guy I work with talked to a beer truck driver and he said they had this in their shop for years. It looks like someone TIG welded a plate on it with a bunghole and wooden bung in it. The tap doesnt resemble anything I've seen before either. Anyone know the purpose behind this and is it done at the factory like that? (plus it's 3/4 full)

Old-time kegs were all like that with the bung on the side. It looks like this was a repair job of some kind.

I doubt there's urine in there.....Sprecher makes some pretty good stuff. :)
