Another Newb Brew

Well, I went and done it. I put my first batch of extract brew in the fermenter yesterday afternoon. It is now bubbling away quite nicely.

I had a little trouble with the boil. My stove CAN boil 3 gallons but it took a bit longer than expected to get there. I may do 2 or 2.5 next time. Also in all my excitement I forgot to do a gravity reading. I'm hoping it won't much matter as it is a kit (AHS) and i'm hoping the listed SG is pretty accurate.

Now I wait, and plan my next batch.

lol, a little, yes. I do keep peeking under the T-shirt covering the carboy though. Pretty nifty stuff happening under there.

Nice!

Don't sweat the missing gravity reading. The kit is well measured and it's estimate is going to be correct as long as you ended with the right volume in the fermenter.
