This is a totally noobie question. But I'm trying to upgrade my skills and I want to get it right.

I thoroughly rinse each commercial beer bottle after it is poured. I then add a drop or two of dishwashing soap and soak for abt. 24 hours. Labels are soaked off with Oxyclean or OneStep and I rinse repeatedly again.

Is it okay to take these bottles directly to the sanitizing stage on bottling day?

Yeah after you clean them with your oxyclean/soap products you can sanitize them with something like Starsan or iodophor and then bottle. I skip the soap stuff and run them through my dishwasher with the heat cranked up...the heat kills most things.
