Sounds interesting. More to my style, although I just don't enter comps based on not wanting to give my brew away.

Looks cool and fun. I wish you were local and I'd enter. I don't like playing russian roulette with mailing beer. I don't see why you'd get flamed. Seems to me there's room for BOTH bjcp style judged events and events like this.

Apparently a few dozen. If you run a typical competition you'll get a few hundred and a couple thousand dollars so if you really just want a lot of beer and you don't mind money, go the traditional route.
